Here is my review of the Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Bootcamp offered by Caltech CTME. To start with, I was stuck in a huge conundrum while deciding which bootcamp to go with, since there are multiple options available and they all seem to offer a very similar course curriculum in and around the same price point. I decided to go with Caltech CTME as my safest choice because of their reputation in academic excellence over the past decades in the US.
After a break of around 2 years from IT Industry (Telecom Software Development), and tough struggle with Covid-19 and its after effects, I am back again to make an entry into the new domain of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. My sincere gratitude to the entire team of Caltech CTME for making this journey of an year a memorable experience. I like to thank my faculties, all of them are well versed in their topics and have made the subjects easy to understand by their teaching skills.
Even a beginner like me was able to grasp the concept and practice with real-world projects. I have grown my portfolio quite a bit since I joined. Their affordable fees ($8000) were also a big bonus for me too.
A few features that stood out for me:
Masterclasses delivered by distinguished Caltech instructors and IBM experts
Exclusive visit to Caltech’s Robotics Lab
Caltech CTME Circle Membership
Earn up to 22 CEUs from Caltech CTME
Online convocation by Caltech CTME Program Director
Physical certificate from Caltech CTME
Access to hackathons and Ask Me Anything sessions from IBM
25+ hands-on projects across industry verticals with integrated labs
LevelUp session by Andrew McAfee, Principal Research Scientist at MIT
My few key takeaways from this course are:
Go through the Math fundamentals like MIN, MEDIAN, MODE, STD DEV, VARIANCE, Linear Algebra and so on. These concepts will help you for Data Analysis.
Go through programming basic concepts like OOP, variables, constants, loops, iterations, error handling and so on.
If you have enrolled for this course then do go through the self study material before attending LIVE online class. This will help you to understand the concept very well.
Do solve the practice test and projects.
Practice, practice and practice to understand the technical concepts very well.
Hard work pays off, always. More than the certificate, the key take away from the program were – Confidence, Self-belief, Learning, Networking and obviously this marked the beginning of the next phase of my career journey. KEEP LEARNING & KEEP GROWING.
